Grace and Kelly

*mom Grace is about 1 year old and Kelly was born on 5/13/24

-Mama came in from a hoarding situation, so she went on pregnancy watch and gave birth to babies a few weeks later! She had 13 (!) little babies. All of them were adopted except her and Kelly! Grace had developed and abscess that we have been treated and she is finally cleared and ready for both of them to find a home! Mom is a super sweet girl who is very outgoing and people friendly and the babies have been handled since before their eyes opened so they are also super people friendly. They like being petted and picked up. Grace and Kelly are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Female rats are usually more active and playful while males are usually more cuddly and lazy. Henry and Benji

-These boys were owner surrendered because they had an upper respiratory infection and the owner was moving. They also had mites and in general, stunk to high heaven. They have been here for a little bit, have been on antibiotics and treated for buggies and are already ten times better and just doing wonderful. They are the sweetest big, squishy boys who enjoy attention and petting. They’re not a fan of being picked up but they just need to get used to it a bit more. Not one ounce of aggression in these boys and they are so gentle and sweet! They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Female rats are usually more active and playful while males are usually more cuddly and lazy. Mom and four daughters
**These girls were adopted out together and returned within 3 weeks for not being “friendly enough.” We’ve had them back for about two weeks and they’re all great. A little bit skittish at first and about being picked up but they are very sweet and just need someone who can earn their trust and love. Animals aren’t always perfect right off the bat and that doesn’t mean we should give up on them**

Simon is a sweet little boy who can be timid at first but warms up quickly and didn’t seem to mind being held and loved on. We’d love to find him some new boy chins to be friends with! -This sweet girl came up with a group of hams we took from a rescue that pulls animals from kill shelters down south. They had been dumped with their mom on the side of the road in a tote. They are sweet little girls, though a little bit skittish at first, they just need some more handling to get used to being picked up, especially cause they’re essentially still babies! They didn’t offer to bite at all just protested a little bit by hamster yelling lol. We recommend large size hamster cages for Syrians (critter trail cages are not sufficient), with lots of activities, things to climb on and chew, and solid bottomed wheels to run on, as well as a good healthy hamster diet supplemented with fresh foods. -This baby was left at a shelter down south in VA where he was in danger of being used/given away for snake food. An awesome rescue pulled him and others and transported them up to us to find their forever homes. Cubby is a nervous boy who doesn't seem to have had a ton of handling prior to coming to us. He's very cute and active, and just needs someone who can work with him on getting used to getting picked up and loved, or even just go to a home where he will be loved and spoiled and given his space for the rest of his life! Mice are awesome little pets for older kids or adults. Adoption fee is $20 for a single.
